Christopher Müller is Head of Operations at TEKO
Christopher Müller has taken on a key role as TEKO’s Head of Operations. He connects day-to-day operations with strategic development, ensuring clear structures, reliable processes and efficient project implementation.
TEKO: Chris, how long have you been with TEKO, and how did your career path lead you to the position of Head of Operations?
Chris: I have been with TEKO since 2009 and have been responsible for various operational departments during this time. This has given me a very good understanding of our entire workflow, from logistics and production control to planning and manufacturing.
Today, my focus is on integrating production, technical order processing, supply chain and customer support even more closely and systematically developing our processes. The goal is to make workflows more efficient, reduce lead times and further strengthen the overall performance of our organisation.
TEKO: How would you describe your current area of responsibility in a few sentences?
Chris: I am responsible for the company’s entire operational value chain. This includes engineering, production, supply chain, logistics, quality and after-sales. My focus is on ensuring that our processes run reliably, that we manufacture efficiently and that we make the best possible use of our capacities.
TEKO: What role do digitalisation and process optimisation play in your area of responsibility?
Chris: Digitalisation and process optimisation play an important role in my area of responsibility. There is considerable potential to make processes more transparent and efficient, particularly in production, supply chain and order processing.
My main objective is to provide our employees with better support. Clearer processes, improved data transparency and digital tools can simplify routine tasks and reduce errors. This creates more time for important topics such as quality, problem-solving and the further development of our products and processes.
For me, digitalisation is therefore not an end in itself. It is a tool that makes our work easier, improves collaboration and strengthens TEKO’s long-term competitiveness.
TEKO: What are you particularly proud of from your time as Head of Operations so far?
Chris: Above all, I am proud of TEKO’s overall development. The company has progressed very positively in recent years and has established a strong position in our market. I am particularly impressed by the commitment and expertise our colleagues demonstrate every day when planning and building our systems and supporting our customers.
For me personally, this is currently a phase in which I want to continue proving myself in my new role and making a meaningful contribution. My goal is to work together with the teams to further improve our processes and position the organisation so that we can continue to grow successfully in the future.
TEKO: On a personal level, what makes TEKO special to you?
Chris: For me, TEKO is more than just a workplace. I have been with the company for many years and have identified strongly with TEKO from my very first day. The people, the respectful way we interact and the strong team spirit are key elements of our company culture.
What I particularly value is the willingness to help one another and the strong sense of unity. Many colleagues support each other, share their knowledge and work together to find solutions, even when challenges arise. This collaboration as equals makes TEKO a very special working environment for me.
At the same time, we work in an industry whose importance in everyday life is often underestimated. Refrigeration technology ensures every day that food remains available, processes operate reliably and many aspects of daily life are possible in the first place. Contributing to this important part of our infrastructure together with a strong team is highly motivating for me personally.
TEKO: Thank you very much for the interview, Chris! We wish you every success in your new position.
