BETWEEN INNOVATION AND IMPLEMENTATION: AN INTERVIEW WITH ROLF SCHMIDT – ENERGY EFFICIENCY MANAGER OF THE REWE GROUP

Rolf Schmidt is a dedicated visionary who is committed to actively shaping the future. He has successfully leveraged his extensive experience and network in the field of refrigeration technology to collaborate with companies Wurm GmbH & Co. KG Elektronische Systeme and TEKO to not only develop innovative ideas, but also to implement them into successful products. To provide us with insight into their years of collaboration, the Energy Efficiency Manager has granted us an interview in which he discusses his experiences working together.

TEKO: Did you use WURM control technology from the very beginning?

Schmidt: : It was clear to me early on that the collaboration with Peter Wurm was something special and that his company continues to play a pioneering role in refrigeration technology. From my perspective, Wurm offers its customers unique services, whether it be in development or commissioning. Several factors speak for our collaboration, such as the software offerings from the FRIGODATA family – which, to my knowledge, are unique in the industry – or Wurm‘s high quality standards, with their electronics development and production based in Germany …
